Born in an ordinary middle-class family in Satara district, Priyanka Gajanan Gore is now making a name for herself in the field of education. She is the director of Gore Sirs Educational Academy and an active member of the Sairaj Social Organization in Satara. Today, many students under her guidance are gaining admission into prestigious institutions like Sainik School, National Military School, and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, preparing them for national service. However, behind this success lies a story of struggle, which is an essential part of her journey.
Entry into the Education Sector
Priyanka Madam’s husband, Gajanan Dattatray Gore, an engineer by profession, initially worked in the advertising sector. However, he aspired to make a significant impact in the education sector. They dreamt of guiding students for competitive exams like those for Sainik School and National Military School and started working towards it. Priyanka supported him in realizing this dream.
After moving from Satara to Pune, they established a residential educational academy. They decided that here students would be fully prepared and receive proper guidance. Through hard work, dedication, and rigorous study, they began helping students gain admission into Sainik Schools and other prestigious schools. Soon, their academy gained recognition and a large number of students started enrolling.
Facing Challenges
When everything was going smoothly, suddenly a significant crisis struck their lives. Due to increasing competition, a partner attempted to undermine their success by filing a false case, entangling Gajanan Gore. Suddenly, all responsibilities of the academy fell on Priyanka Madam.
For a woman, especially one managing the responsibilities of two young children, running the entire academy was not easy. However, her husband, Gajanan, who had been sent to gain market experience after their marriage, returned to assist. His experience proved invaluable, and he did not give up. Together with the entire staff and by gaining the trust of parents, they managed the academy more vigorously. Due to their perseverance and relentless effort, out of 170 students, 2 were selected for the National Military School, 46 for Sainik School, and 5 for Jawahar Navodaya.
Support During Hard Times
During these difficult times, her entire family stood by her steadfastly. Her in-laws, daughter, and siblings provided emotional and mental support, which enabled her to move forward with greater confidence.
A Commitment to Social Work
While on the path to success, they also focused on social work. Leading her husband’s social initiatives, she endeavored to provide employment for needy women.
- They conducted tree plantation and food donation programs. Every year, 2-3 underprivileged students receive free education at their academy.
